Terms of Service

By creating an account, submitting an intake, or otherwise using the Honest Assessment service (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Honest Assessment provides an automated analytical platform that generates business planning estimates based on information submitted by users. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. Honest Assessment is not a licensed business valuator, registered investment advisor, certified public accountant, financial planner, or law firm. Use of the Service does not create any professional advisory relationship between the user and Honest Assessment of any kind, including but not limited to an advisor-client, attorney-client, or accountant-client relationship.

Outputs generated by the Service, including but not limited to Owner Return Scores, business net worth estimates, value gap analyses, benchmark comparisons, improvement plans, and advisor conversation responses, are planning estimates only. They are generated by automated systems based solely on information provided by the user and have not been independently verified by any licensed professional.

Users expressly acknowledge that Service outputs should not be used as the sole or primary basis for any business sale or acquisition, financing or lending application, legal proceeding or dispute resolution, tax filing or tax planning decision, or investment decision of any kind. Honest Assessment expressly disclaims all liability for decisions made in reliance on Service outputs. Users agree to seek independent verification from a qualified licensed professional before making any material business, financial, legal, or tax decision.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Honest Assessment’s total liability to any user for any claim arising out of or related to use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by that user to Honest Assessment in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided as is without warranty of any kind. Honest Assessment makes no representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any output generated by the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any information you submit to the Service. The quality of Service outputs depends directly on the quality of inputs you provide. You agree to keep your account credentials confidential and to notify Honest Assessment promptly of any unauthorized access.

All content, software, methodology, and analytical frameworks made available through the Service are the property of Honest Assessment or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use Service outputs for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell, republish, or systematically extract Service content without prior written permission.

Subscription plans bill on the cadence selected at checkout and may be cancelled at any time through the client portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the period already paid for. One-time Assessment purchases are refundable in full before the report is delivered and non-refundable after. If a delivered report contains an obvious error on our side, we will correct it at no charge — see our Refund Policy for full details. Founding-member pricing and any promotional codes are subject to the terms displayed at the time of redemption.

Honest Assessment may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers and posted on this page with an updated Last Updated date. Continued use of the Service following a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the state in which Honest Assessment is organized. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with that jurisdiction.
